Tim is a consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Wrightington Hospital and a Visiting Professor at the University of Manchester.His main clinical interests are primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty and hip arthroscopy and debridement.
Tim is available to see patients and perform surgery at the BMI Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, Euxton Hall Hospital in Chorley and Wrightington Hospital in Wigan.

Tim received his medical degree from the University of Manchester in 1996(awarded with Honours) as well as a first class degree in Anatomy. Postgraduate Training was undertaken throughout the North West of England with overseas training in Sydney, Australia, Hanover, Germany and Malawi.
He also completed an MSc (Orthopaedic Engineering, with Distinction) at Cardiff University and an MD(Revision Hip Surgery) at Manchester University. Having gained MRCS in 1999 and FRCS(Orth & Trauma) in 2005 he completed his training with a year fellowship at Wrightington in complex hip and knee reconstruction.
Mr Board received numerous awards and scholarships throughout his training including: ARC grant(1992), Peter Mallimson Bursary(2003), Treloars/Gauvain Fellowship(2004), Sir Harry Platt Fellowship(2005), AO Fellowship(2006) British Hip Society European Fellowship(2007) and most recently the highly respected American Travelling Hip Fellowship (2011).
