Adam is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the assessment and treatment of  lower limb disorders.

Until August 2010 his NHS practice was at Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Trust, where he had an elective practice in hip and knee problems including arthroplasty (joint replacement), arthroscopy and sports injuries. 

He now sees and treats patients referred by local GPs and from other surgeons exclusively at BMI Alexandra Hospital where he is actively involved in trauma/injury management.

His special interests and research activity include the young arthritic patient, primary and revision joint replacement and knee disorders.


Adam underwent sub-specialist training as The Cavendish Hip Fellow and Lecturer in Orthopaedics in Sheffield.  He was a visiting fellow at the Massachusetts 
General Hospital, Boston.

He is keen on medical education, runs instructional courses in lower limb arthroplasty and presents his ongoing research at national conferences.
